Role at Old Street WorkRooms: Operations and Mobilisation Manager
1. Tell us a little about your role – what do you do day-to-day at Old Street WorkRooms?
As the Operations and Mobilisation Manager, I’m the person behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. Whether it’s supporting our incredible on-site team, resolving building-related issues, or working out logistics for new initiatives, I’m here to keep the wheels turning. Every day brings something different, which keeps me on my toes – in the best way possible!
More about Victoria
What’s your favourite part of working here?
Without a doubt, it’s the people. Our customers are lovely and getting to know them is one of the best parts of my day. I love hearing about what they are getting up to and celebrating in their successes. It makes coming into the office not just enjoyable, but inspiring.
How did you come to join the Old Street WorkRooms team?
I oversee multiple sites, and when we took over the management of 69 Old Street in August 2024, it quickly became clear that this one was something special. We were lucky to inherit Mia, who’s been a dream to work with and whose positive energy has been a fantastic addition. It’s been exciting to help shape the future of the space alongside such a brilliant team.
What’s something people might not know about what you do behind the scenes
I have a degree in reflexology and aromatherapy! I’m interested in holistic wellness, and I think that sense of care and balance influences how I approach my role.
What’s one thing you think makes Old Street WorkRooms special?
It’s the Front of House (FOH) team, hands down. They go above and beyond every single day to make this space warm, welcoming, and totally hassle-free for our customers. Oh, and I can’t not mention the roof terrace, it’s the ultimate lunchtime retreat when the sun’s shining. You can even top up your tan on your lunch break!
Any favourite memories or moments here so far?
Being part of the rebranding journey for The Old Street WorkRooms has been a real highlight. It’s great to see a space evolve and come into its own, and knowing I’ve played a role in shaping that makes me feel proud every time I walk through the doors.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy going to dance classes, but mainly, my real passion is food. I’m always on the lookout for new places to eat and explore. I recently spent a weekend away in Southwold, and if you like bakeries, it’s a must-visit!
If you could describe the vibe of Old Street WorkRooms in three words, what would they be?
Welcoming, fun and hardworking. It’s a place where you can feel at ease, get stuff done, and still have a laugh.
What’s your go-to local spot near Old Street?
We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat for lunch! One of my absolute favourites is just across the road, called Banh Mi Ancient Saigon. Their crispy tofu vermicelli is delicious. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!
